Cardiovascular Technician

Job Description Performs advanced cardiac diagnostic and interventional (if applicable) techniques including Cardiac Echocardiography, Cardiac Stress testing, cardiac catheterizations and interventions, device implant and follow-up, and ambulatory cardiac procedures. Interprets and reports on various cardiac procedures.Responsibilities Technical Perform electrocardiogram (ECG) recordings on adult and pediatric patients, including standard 12-lead and extended 15-lead variations.Advanced analysis and interpretation of ECGs.Perform and analyze ambulatory heart and blood pressure monitoring.Assist physicians during stress testing protocols such as treadmill testing, myocardial perfusion stress testing, and tilt table testing.Generate comprehensive clinical reports for physician review and sign-off.Promptly notify and document critical results to the appropriate healthcare provider.Familiarity with computer-based systems within the department (e.g., Malaffi, Talibi, Oracle, CAFM, Pacemaker database, Echo image archive).Apply test results correctly to the patient electronic medical record.Assist senior physiologists/physicians during complex cardiac investigations.Maintain continued professional development.Participate in departmental training, audits, and improvement plans.Maintain department housekeeping and consumables.Ensure correct storage and maintenance of cardiac equipment, referring to biomedical department when necessary.Accurately calibrate and maintain daily equipment.Quality & Safety Conduct equipment checks and calibrations, report discrepancies, and initiate remedial actions.Update patient examination history, record unusual conditions, and document examination details.Ensure compliance with safety and quality control procedures.Apply infection control precautions and maintain confidentiality of patient information.Education Mentor and train other cardiology technologists and students.Explain testing procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.Company Industry Medical Medical Devices Department / Functional Area Doctor Nurse Paramedics Medical Research Keywords Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
