Infection Control Specialist

The Infection Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the implementation and monitoring of infection prevention and control (IPC) programs within healthcare facilities.This role involves compliance with national and international guidelines, staff training, and incident investigations to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective IPC policies and procedures.Conduct regular surveillance and audits to identify and mitigate potential infection risks.Educate healthcare staff on best practices in infection prevention and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.Maintain adherence to relevant regulatory requirements.Monitor sterilization processes and cleanliness standards to ensure a safe environment.Prepare and submit comprehensive IPC reports to management and regulatory bodies.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or Public Health; Master's preferred.Certification in Infection Control.Minimum 3 years of experience in infection control within a healthcare setting.Detailed knowledge of IPC standards and UAE healthcare regulations.Strong analytical and training skills.Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
