Strategic Construction Planner

Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and interior fit-out, with experience in project management and planning.The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for preparing the construction work programs as per the guidelines provided by the Project Manager and monitoring the progress of the project against the plan to ensure its completion within the specified time frame and allocated budgets.Key Responsibilities: Support the project management team to ensure adherence to weekly, fortnightly, and monthly project progress and generate reports on all variations.In conjunction with the Project Manager, prepare a programme of works that is acceptable to the client and indicates the sequence of operations, dependencies, and resource requirements.Prepare master project schedules and plans during the tender and execution stages.Monitor the material submittal, approval, and procurement schedule against the project plan and update or revise as necessary.Accurately record progress and adjust forecasts as required. Prepare reports on progress and causes of programmed/progress variations.Weekly monitoring of project plans and preparation of weekly progress plans to be submitted for weekly project progress meetings and ensure timely notification of delays to the PM/CM.Attend monthly project review meetings with consultants/project management representatives, prepare and submit reports to management as required. Also, prepare monthly progress reports for all projects based on site visits and project progress reviews.Coordinate information between other parties, including clients, suppliers, and contractors, to determine and monitor the availability of materials and finished goods in line with the programme.Preparation of information schedules, inclusive of architects, engineers, nominations, and long lead schedules.Preparation of critical path analysis and impact programmes in assessment of EOT. Liaise with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to indicate cost and return forecasts at agreed payment dates and throughout the contract.Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure they are continuously developed for higher-level roles.Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need: 5-7 years of experience in construction/interior fit-out, preferably.Degree in Civil Engineering with a good working knowledge of Primavera/MS Projects.About Us We are a leading organisation in the construction and interior design industry.
