The role of a Director of Technical Strategy and Innovation involves leading the technical direction and strategy for a company's Radio Access Network (RAN) product portfolio, encompassing 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, and 5G NR technologies.This senior leadership position requires collaboration with key stakeholders to define the RAN roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands. As a subject matter expert in RAN technologies, the ideal candidate will provide guidance on product development, customer deployments, and operational strategies.Key responsibilities include managing a team of RAN engineers and technical experts, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving the adoption of best practices in system design, deployment, and troubleshooting.The successful candidate will also work closely with R&D, Product Management, and Sales teams to ensure product alignment with customer requirements and market trends. Additionally, they will provide high-level technical support for RAN products and solutions to internal teams and external customers.Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of RAN architecture, radio technologies, and the evolution from 2G to 5G, including virtualized RAN, C-RAN, and network slicing Hands-on experience in the integration, optimization, and troubleshooting of RAN networks Requirements: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field Advanced certifications or training in RAN technologies or network architecture would be an asset10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a senior technical leadership role within RAN, wireless technologies, or mobile networks Proven experience in leading large-scale RAN projects, from design to deployment and optimization
