Wood is presently looking to hire an Energy Management Engineer for ADNOC Offshore Central Engineering Division in Abu Dhabi. Below are more details about the position.RESPONSIBILITIESEstablishing, implementing, and managing ADNOC Offshore Energy Management System (En MS) as per ADNOC and ISO 50001 requirements, including conducting periodic meetings, trainings, awareness activities, identifying and assessing energy performance improvement actions (including operational assets and projects), internal & external audits, and reporting the energy performance status to management.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : Job Specific Accountabilities Roll out, coordinate, and ensure proper implementation of the Energy Management Organization throughout the company, including periodic meetings of energy teams and committees at corporate and site levels. Establish and maintain the Company En MS to achieve and sustain ISO50001 certification, including preparing energy management policies, manuals, procedures, and guidelines.Develop and maintain an energy data reporting system to assess energy performance periodically, coordinate Energy Reviews, develop energy baselines, identify Significant Energy Uses (SEUs), establish energy performance indicators (En PIs), and set benchmarks. Collaborate with site teams to ensure data accuracy and generate periodic reports.Identify achievable energy performance improvement actions (EPIAs), set objectives & targets, develop action plans, and monitor their implementation. Stay updated on new technologies and best practices for energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and energy use optimization.Conduct internal En MS audits, assist in external audits, and ensure compliance with standards and certification requirements.Manage energy studies by preparing scope of work, evaluating bids, overseeing studies, and ensuring compliance with company standards and schedules. Support energy optimization studies in-house and with consultants.Support engineering and project teams during all project phases to incorporate Energy Efficient Design (EED) and Design for Energy Management (Df EM) principles.Coordinate procurement processes to ensure energy efficiency requirements are met and collaborate with external energy management groups for best practices.Report energy performance to ADNOC, participate in energy management activities, and support related committees and workshops.Execute assigned tasks within energy management discipline and provide training to develop UAE Nationals.Generic Accountabilities Supervision Plan, supervise, and coordinate activities to meet objectives.Train and develop staff for proficiency and objective delivery.Budgets Assist in budget preparation, monitor variances, and support effective cost management.Implement policies and standards aligned with company and international norms.Performance Management Contribute to achieving departmental performance objectives.Innovation and Continuous Improvement Develop tools and techniques to enhance operational efficiency and process quality.Identify and implement process improvements based on best practices and standards.HSE and Sustainability Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, legal regulations, and sustainability standards.Reports Provide inputs for MIS and progress reports for management.5. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS : Internal Coordinate with engineering, operational, and support teams at various levels.External Engage with ADNOC Group Energy Committee, other ADNOC companies, and shareholders.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum Experience & Skills At least 12 years' experience in oil & gas or process industries, with 5+ years in Energy Management or optimization projects.Knowledge of international energy codes and standards.Proficiency in English, MS Office, and excellent communication skills.Membership in recognized international environment organizations is advantageous.Professional Certifications ISO 50001 Lead Auditor or equivalent certification is advantageous.Energy Management certification from reputed institutions is advantageous.7. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES : Knowledge of offshore E&P processes and energy-intensive equipment.Familiarity with ADNOC energy policies and standards.Skills in energy modeling, efficiency calculations, financial modeling, and emission methodologies.Willingness to travel offshore as required and professional interaction skills.ABOUT USWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
