Supportive Educational Advisor

A challenging role for a School Counsellor has become available at an International school in Dubai. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the academic and social welfare of pupils.This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children manage their feelings and deal with incidents, as well as providing group and individual support on an ad-hoc basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing pupil attendance and punctuality, as well as providing formal counselling with parental consent.Job Description The School Counsellor will work closely with staff and families to provide a healthy, safe and productive environment for pupils to achieve their potential. This will involve developing a positive relationship with pupils, staff and families, and engaging the community in building cooperative partnerships for the sake of a pupil's success.Helping children manage their feelings and deal with incidents Providing group and individual support on an ad-hoc and planned time to talk basis Managing playground games, buddies and other systems within the school Monitoring and managing pupil attendance and punctuality Providing formal counselling with consent of the family The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting staff in managing incidents and behaviour, as well as supporting families through workshops and other activities.
