Fragrance Analyst - Perfume Composition Expert

Job Title: Senior Fragrance Development Specialist This role requires a highly skilled individual to conduct in-depth analyses of fragrance compositions, ingredients, and performance.Key Responsibilities: Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of fragrance compounds using GC-MS technique.Perform method development and validation for complex matrices, including fine fragrances.Interpret chromatograms and mass spectra to identify unknowns or verify ingredient presence/purity.Support reverse engineering efforts for competitive benchmarking and client briefs.Fragrance Development Support: Partner with perfumers and evaluators to analyze and compare formulations.Profile key raw materials for consistency, quality, and sensory relevance.Assist in reformulation of fragrances based on analytical findings or regulatory needs.Regulatory & Documentation: Ensure compliance with IFRA and internal standards.Maintain detailed technical documentation, chromatographic libraries, and result reports.Assist in preparing regulatory files or technical data for customer submissions.Quality Assurance & Lab Operations: Support quality control by analyzing raw materials, in-process batches, and final products.Troubleshoot deviations or complaints through root cause analytical investigation.Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments to ensure optimal performance.Enforce safety procedures and good laboratory practices (GLP).Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.Minimum 2–4 years experience in an analytical lab setting, preferably in fragrance.The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.Benefits: Opportunity to work in a cutting-edge laboratory environment.Access to continuous learning and technical training.Competitive salary and benefits.Chance to contribute to the success of fragrance development projects.About This Role: This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful contribution to the world of fragrances.
