About Us We are a leader in luxury retail, hosting a portfolio of the world's best luxury brands in fashion, jewelry, home, and department store categories.About The Role We're looking for a buyer to plan, direct, and control sales areas through purchasing high-quality merchandise at advantageous prices to meet merchandising standards, sales, and profit objectives.What You'll Be Doing Key Responsibilities: Maintain return of all faulty merchandise to supplier with accompanying red debit correctly made out to ensure department receives credit. Ensure samples are returned to supplier when no longer required.Enter orders into system once buyers return from buying trips and ensure minimal discrepancies.Paid visits to warehouse to resolve shipment discrepancies and delays, liaising with suppliers for any variances or damages.Maintain regular communication with suppliers to assist efficient ordering, delivery, and payment of merchandise.Assist buyers in researching and selecting quality merchandise suppliers domestically and internationally at best prices to maximize sales and profits.Place re-orders in consultation with buyers and communicate relevant information to planning and supply chain teams.Maintain accurate database of vendor agreements and forward completed agreements to Merchandise Planning.Assist sales staff and management with customer service, including placing special orders and providing stock availability and product knowledge.Consolidate buying feedback reports and provide recommendations per brand portfolio.Management Roles and Responsibilities: Taking responsibility for team members' outcomes, promoting urgency, and establishing accountability.Developing relationships proactively, building rapport, and understanding group dynamics.Distinguishing relevant from irrelevant information, analyzing multiple sources, and defining problems accurately.Communicating clearly, compellingly, and concisely, adapting style for diverse stakeholders.Continuously developing new skills, applying strengths to new issues, and seeking challenging assignments.Making high-quality decisions decisively, seeking input from relevant sources, and demonstrating sound judgment.
