English Trainer

The American University in the Emirates seeks an experienced English Trainer to join the team. The role is to provide AUE students with language development services to support their academic success. Additionally, the English trainer supports students in achieving their academic goals and developing skills needed for their educational, career, and personal aspirations using the full range of AUE institutional and community resources.Job Type: Part Time The English Trainer will be responsible for teaching the following courses: IELTS Preparatory Course TOEFL Preparatory Course Advanced English Language Course Intermediate English Language Course Beginner English Language Course ONLY shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Qualifications & Experience A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in American/English Literature, Applied Linguistics, or a related field from an accredited university.At least 2 years of experience teaching English in a university setting is required.Experience teaching IELTS/TOEFL courses is preferred.IELTS minimum score of 8.0.Preferably native English speakers.Job Description Help students develop English language skills, including preparation for TOEFL and IELTS tests, and language development in beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses.Coordinate the development of academic literacy through the writing lab with undergraduate and postgraduate students.Extend English language support to students who meet AUE language entry requirements but still struggle with their studies.Provide academic and personal advising, and counseling related to writing and communication development.Review, revise, and enhance the English Language program curriculum, assessments, and activities.Engage with lecturers concerning students' academic writing.Market and raise awareness of the writing lab among AUE students.Support postgraduate master's students to improve their academic writing skills.About American University in the Emirates (AUE): The American University in the Emirates (AUE) invites applications from qualified candidates for various faculty and administrative positions.
