Purchasing Specialist - Scrap Materials

Scrap Buyer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Scrap Buyer to join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a consistent, cost-effective, and quality-assured supply of raw materials (scrap) to meet production targets.Key Responsibilities: Assist in identifying and evaluating potential scrap suppliers.Collect daily scrap prices and analyze market trends.Issue RFQs, evaluate quotes, and prepare comparison sheets.Monitor incoming scrap quality and coordinate with the quality and logistics teams.Maintain updated records of purchases, deliveries, and supplier performance.Travel to supplier yards for inspection and relationship management.Ensure timely delivery of scrap to maintain uninterrupted production.Ensure compliance with company procurement and safety policies.Requirements: Interpersonal & communication skills.Building networks with local markets & knowledge about UAE vendors.UAE Driving License.Desirable Knowledge and Expertise: Basic knowledge of ferrous/non-ferrous scrap materials used in steelmaking (HMS, PNS, Shredded, etc.).Good negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in commerce, Supply Chain, or related field.Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)1 to 3 years of experience in the same field.Seniority Level: Entry level Employment Type: Full-time Job Function: Purchasing Industries Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Confidential by 2x Get notified about new Buyer jobs in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
