As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in patient diagnostics by performing complex analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluid samples to determine chemical content, cell count, drug levels, and blood type.Job Summary The Laboratory Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory analyzers and equipment following established protocols. This includes performing various tests, such as hematological, biochemical, serological, and other analyses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Additionally, the technician will verify test outcomes by reviewing patient history and previous results for consistency and reliability.This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to effectively collaborate within and between departments.Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment according to established protocols.Perform various tests, including hematological, biochemical, serological, and other analyses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Verify test outcomes by reviewing patient history and previous results for consistency and reliability.Conduct routine quality control checks on all test systems.Participate in proficiency testing and support laboratory accreditation efforts.Assist the laboratory manager with additional tasks as needed.Perform phlebotomy procedures when necessary.Stay updated on laboratory best practices through educational workshops, publications, and industry networks.Promote effective collaboration within and between departments.Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment following safety protocols.Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies.Support all hospital infection control programs.Requirements Bachelor's or Associate degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemistry, biology, or related field.Active license to practice as a Clinical Medical Laboratory Technologist.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Skilled in manipulating laboratory equipment and test materials.Ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision.Ability to remain calm under pressure and possess strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Preferred: Experience in CAP, ISO, or JCI accredited laboratories.
