Your primary focus will be ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations, analyzing financial performance, and supporting management in making informed financial decisions.Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with Cameroonian accounting standards (OHADA) and international accounting principles (IFRS).Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management for decision-making purposes.Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting activities to optimize the company's financial performance.Ensure effective internal controls and audit procedures are in place to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risks.Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies during audits and tax-related matters.Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable accounting laws, regulations, and company policies.Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.Prepare and review financial documents, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Review and advise on financial transactions, such as investments, acquisitions, and capital expenditures.Assist in the preparation of business plans, strategic initiatives, and financial projections.Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) certification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.Strong knowledge of Cameroonian financial regulations (OHADA) and international accounting standards (IFRS).Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations in Cameroon.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Wholesale Metals and Minerals Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Confidential Careers by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for "Accountant" roles.Accountant - Receivable (National Talent)Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates 19 hours ago Accountant (Residential Project) - Islamabad We're unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
