Chief Specialist - Statistics & Data Analysis1 month ago Be among the first 25 applicants JOB PURPOSESupport the Enterprise Command and Control Departments' roles pertaining to transportation modelling, through Job Description JOB PURPOSESupport the Enterprise Command and Control Departments' roles pertaining to transportation modelling, throughthe application of transportation planning and engineering logic to leverage data analytics and transportationmodeling, aiming to optimize transportation systems and enhance the overall efficiency of Dubai's transportationnetwork.Key Results Accountabilities# Analyze the relevant data to support decisions related to transportation network planning and ensureupdating of the model and its databases based on modifications and additions made on the roads and publictransportation networks and related urban and population plans# Utilize transportation models and simulation software to assess the impact of proposed infrastructurechanges, policy and strategies, planned and unplanned mega events, to conduct scenario analysis and evaluatethe effectiveness of different solutions# Develop, review, and update policies, procedures, and other technically specialized documents concerning theareas of expertise and in coordination with the stakeholders and alignment with RTA's document managementsystems, in addition to contributing to the formulation and implementation of other transportation-relatedpolicies, guidelines, and standards# Support the development of accurate demand forecasts for various transportation modes and evaluate thecapacity requirements of the transportation network. Provide inputs for infrastructure planning, serviceoptimization, and the development of transportation policies# Establish performance metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of transportation initiatives. Developmonitoring systems and prepare regular reports to evaluate the impact of implemented measures and identifyareas for improvement# Prepare detailed engineering reports by analyzing data related to Population Density, Pedestrians, Congestion Information, Historical Traffic, Origin Destination, Metro, Tram, Transit and taxi information, in addition tocontributing to studies pertaining to adding new modes in near future, e.g., electrical scooter, aerial taxi, etc# Contribute to the organizational knowledge sharing and specialized training plans, through conductingspecialized workshops in a formal and educational context, and induction programs for new employees, withinthe area of expertise# Conduct specialized benchmarking studies in the field of work and tasks assigned to ensure the distinguishedand pioneering position of the organization in accordance with the strategic directions of RTA. This includes,but is not limited to conducting research, pilot studies, and experimental projects to explore innovativesolutions and contribute to the advancement of the field# Perform other related duties and responsibilities associated with the position, or any additional responsibilitiesas advised by the direct Line Manager or Department Director# Manage ECCD projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are deliveredwithin scope, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high quality standards# Supervise the operation and maintenance of the real-time transportation model, ensuring its reliability andresponsiveness.
