English Trainer

The American University in the Emirates seeks an experienced English Trainer to join the team. The role is to provide AUE students with language development services to support their academic success. The English trainer also supports students in achieving their academic goals and developing skills needed for their educational, career, and personal objectives using the full range of AUE resources.Job Type: Part Time The English Trainer will teach the following courses: IELTS Preparatory Course TOEFL Preparatory Course Advanced English Language Course Intermediate English Language Course Beginner English Language Course ONLY shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in American/English Literature, Applied Linguistics, or a related field from an accredited university.At least 2 years of experience teaching English in a university setting.Experience teaching IELTS/TOEFL courses is preferred.IELTS minimum score of 8.0.Preferably native English speakers.Job Description Assist students in developing English language skills, including preparation for TOEFL and IELTS tests, and language development across beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses.Coordinate the development of academic literacy through the writing lab with undergraduate and postgraduate students.Provide English language support to students who meet AUE language entry requirements but struggle academically.Offer academic, personal advising, and counseling regarding writing and communication skills.Review and enhance the English Language program curriculum, assessments, and activities.Collaborate with lecturers on students' academic writing.Promote awareness of the writing lab among students.Support postgraduate students in improving their academic writing.About American University in the Emirates (AUE): AUE, located in Dubai International Academic City, invites applications from qualified candidates for various faculty and administrative roles.
