Description

Maersk is a global leader in integrated logistics, pioneering the industry for over a century. Driven by innovation and transformation, we continuously redefine what's possible, setting new benchmarks in efficiency, sustainability, and excellence. At Maersk, we believe in the strength of diversity, the impact of collaboration, and the importance of continuous learning. Our people reflect the global communities and customers we serve, and we're committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. With a presence in over 130 countries and a workforce of more than 100,000, we're united by a shared mission: to shape the future of global trade and logistics. Join us as we embrace cutting-edge technologies and unlock global opportunities. Together, let's chart a course toward a smarter, more sustainable future with Maersk. We are now looking for passionate individuals to join our dynamic IT team. As an Onsite IT Support Technician, you'll be at the heart of delivering hands-on technology support and ensuring seamless end-user experiences. In this role, you'll take the lead in managing onsite IT infrastructure and work closely with a skilled team to support workplace services, data centers, strategic projects, asset management, procurement, and users. You'll also serve as a key escalation point for the remote support desk, stepping in during business-critical incidents that require onsite expertise. Key Responsibilities: Minimum 3 years of experience providing onsite support to all supported Transport & Logistics brands and business units (as appropriate) for incidents/requests assigned to the Onsite Technology. Direct responsibility for activities related to Asset Life Cycle management (Install/Move/Add/Change/Decommission) support for IT equipment (PCs, laptops, printers, servers). Support and advise Facilities Management/Office Services regarding office move planning. Support hardware and software asset management, tracking, and auditing for devices not connected to the network, following Maersk Line global processes. Engage with the business to conduct IT clinics/training as appropriate. Troubleshoot LAN cabling and coordinate troubleshooting of other local IT infrastructure issues. Provide on-call support for critical incidents outside of normal business hours and during emergencies as part of Business Continuity Plan requirements. Support other locations/offices as appropriate; geographical scope for service coverage to be confirmed, which may require some travel. Ensure cybersecurity standards and processes are followed for services provided. Provide VIP support to select customers as per SLA and agreement. Assist the Area IT Lead with procurement of requested hardware following Maersk purchasing procedures. Act as a local project coordinator for hardware/software upgrades, regional consolidation activities, and other technical warehouse and office move projects. The role primarily involves support for warehouses located in Dubai South Free Zone and Industrial City. This role requires extensive movement, supporting changes during weekends and after hours, and a willingness to go the extra mile and think outside the box to solve challenging problems. The role is not typical of a service desk function with routine tasks; it requires adaptability and problem-solving skills to address varying issues simultaneously. Support for RF guns, label printers, network infrastructure, and HP laser printers is essential. Support cabling projects and understand project management for warehouse setup and implementation. Support meeting room infrastructure, data center management, and maintenance for BAS Tower Office. Support procurement of all IT hardware infrastructure for the UAE area, including Oman and Qatar. Family book is mandatory. Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, embracing different perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants regardless of race, color, gender, sex, age, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, parental leave, veteran status, gender identity, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law. We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with legal requirements. We support your needs for any adjustments during the application and hiring process. For assistance or accommodations, please contact us via email. Required Experience: IC #J-18808-Ljbffr
