Front Desk Receptionist Job Description The primary responsibility of a Front Desk Receptionist is to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process for guests. This includes handling room reservations, requests, and cancellations, as well as managing payment and billing.Key Responsibilities: Organize and conduct guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of room reservations, requests, and cancellations.Secure payment and verify billing information to prevent errors or discrepancies.Activate and file room keys, maintaining accurate records of guest assignments.Process guest requests and relay messages in a timely and professional manner.Print contingency lists to maintain an up-to-date record of guests in case of an emergency.Identify and explain room features to guests, providing them with essential information about property amenities, services, and hours of operation.Follow up on outstanding requests or problems from the previous day to ensure their resolution.Run and review daily reports/logs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.Accept and record wakeup call requests, delivering them to the appropriate department as needed.Count bank at the beginning and end of shift, securing funds to prevent loss or theft.Process all payment types, including adjustment vouchers, paidouts, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges, providing change as necessary.Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft, taking prompt action to address the situation.Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets at all times.Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs with professionalism and courtesy.Assist individuals with disabilities, providing support and accommodations as required.Thank guests with genuine appreciation, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service.Speak clearly and professionally with others, using proper etiquette when answering telephones.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team members to achieve common goals.Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards, upholding the highest level of service excellence.Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, moving objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
