Our two through-schools, Sunmarke School and Regent International School, provide world-class education from FS1 to Year 13.About Our Sports Programme Across our schools, we are delivering a high-calibre, specialist-led sports programme that drives participation, develops talent, and raises the bar for performance.With strong leadership and established competition pathways, we are now growing our coaching team to lead key sports into an ambitious new phase of excellence.The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and driven Swimming Lead Coach to lead our swimming programme across Fortes Schools. This is a performance-focused role with a strong emphasis on managing competitive squads, developing swimmer potential, and ensuring excellence in both training and galas.In addition to squad leadership, the successful candidate will also oversee the delivery and development of curriculum swimming, ensuring a high-quality, progressive aquatic experience from Early Years through to Secondary.Working closely with the Director of Sport and Head of PE, the Swimming Lead Coach will shape the long-term strategy for swimming across both schools and ensure alignment between curriculum, squad training, and competitive success.Professional Responsibilities• Plan, organise, and deliver high-quality squad training sessions including early morning, lunchtime, and after-school sessions• Lead and manage the delivery of curriculum swimming from FS1 to Secondary, in collaboration with PE staff• Select and coach competitive swim squads for galas and meets at local, national, and international levels, including DASSA and other recognised events• Fully commit to after-school and weekend galas and fixtures as part of the competitive calendar• Monitor and support swimmer development through training plans, performance tracking, and regular assessment• Participate in weekly sports department meetings and contribute to planning, programme development, and event coordination• Support administrative operations including gala logistics, transport, squad organisation, and risk assessments• Lead the marketing and promotion of swimming across Fortes schools, sharing achievements and building visibility through social media and school platforms• Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with coaching trends, aquatic safety, and safeguarding practices• Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Director of Sport in support of the school's vision for excellence in sport This is a key appointment within our sports programme.
