Strategic Assessment Leader

Job Overview This position plays a pivotal role in driving student success by overseeing the assessment practices, ensuring they are standardized and understood at all levels. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in constructing and implementing robust student assessment systems that inform future planning, track student progress, and evaluate staff performance.The successful applicant will be responsible for leading middle leaders in understanding and utilizing the assessment system for inspection purposes. They will also collaborate with IT staff to fully leverage the Data Management System (i Sams) and Toddle. Additionally, this role involves ensuring efficient administration of external examinations, tests, and surveys.A key aspect of this position is supporting staff in analyzing and interpreting relevant data for inspections and accreditation visits. The successful candidate will work closely with counterparts in other phases to facilitate seamless transition of data between phases.The job requires strategic leadership of the whole campus digital learning strategy, engaging with regulatory bodies, and external agencies in relation to assessment, data, and other areas associated with the role.About the Role Foster an aspirational school culture through coaching, delegation, holding team members accountable, and inspiring them to act. Ensure collective responsibility and accountability through genuine distributed leadership.Make informed decisions and devise school improvement plans based on evidence from effective self-evaluation. Recognize opportunities and threats, and manage the complexity of leading in a large international school.Communicate effectively with stakeholders, particularly young children from diverse backgrounds.Support the Head of School in leading professional development in Teaching and Leadership across the school.Promote the school through public speaking, social media, and building relationships with external organizations.Contribute to the appropriate school leadership team and develop leadership across Uptown and Taaleem.Lead safeguarding and pastoral care of students, ensuring barriers to learning are removed or mitigated.Key Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Educational Leadership or professional qualification.Commitment to undertaking key leadership courses or role-specific qualifications.At least two years of experience in a middle or senior leadership role.Experience working or leading in regulated educational environments.Knowledge and understanding of the IB curriculum.Fully qualified to teach in the UAE.Why Join Us?Competitive compensation and benefits package.Access to high-quality professional development opportunities.Supportive multicultural community of staff, students, and parents.
