Description
The Head of Corporate Banking is responsible for leading and expanding the bank's corporate banking division, developing strategic business plans, and driving profitability through strong client relationships and innovative financial solutions. The role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in corporate and investment banking, deep market understanding, and the ability to manage both strategy and execution.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Leadership Develop and execute the overall corporate banking strategy in alignment with the bank's objectives and risk framework.Drive sustainable growth across large corporate, government, and institutional segments.Identify new market opportunities and lead business development initiatives to enhance market share and profitability.Client & Business Development Lead relationship management with key clients, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.Oversee the origination and structuring of corporate lending, trade finance, project finance, and treasury solutions.Collaborate with product, credit, and risk teams to deliver customized financial solutions that meet client needs.Financial & Risk Management Manage the P&L of the Corporate Banking Division, ensuring revenue targets are met and portfolio quality remains strong.Maintain sound credit discipline and ensure adherence to internal risk policies and regulatory requirements.Monitor portfolio performance, ensuring proactive risk identification and mitigation.Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing corporate banking team.Establish clear objectives, drive accountability, and foster a results-oriented culture.Promote continuous learning, development, and succession planning within the team.Operational Excellence Ensure efficient credit approval, client onboarding, and transaction execution processes.Drive digital transformation and process automation to improve client experience and operational efficiency.Ensure full compliance with all local and international banking regulations and internal audit standards.REQUIREMENTSQualifications & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).Minimum 15 years of banking experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within corporate or wholesale banking.Proven track record in managing large corporate portfolios and delivering strong financial performance.In-depth knowledge of credit risk, corporate finance, project finance, and trade products.Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
