This role requires a qualified engineer with comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, combined with strong commercial acumen to manage costs, contracts, and procurement activities from inception to completion.**What your day-to-day will look like: *** Update and maintain the Employers electronic cost management system in real-time* Negotiate and agree ROM/variation values with contractors (subject to Employer approval)* Coordinate, assist and lead the change management process for all variations and instructions; Review and assist/respond to contractor RFIs, variations, and change requests* Chair commercial, budget, and cost meetings* Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and Key Performance Indicators* Maintain register of variation orders with approval status and costs* Maintain and monitor registers of insurances, bonds, guarantees, and payments with status and relevant details* Monitor and report on cost performance against the Project Budget* Maintain comprehensive records of all commercial correspondence and documentation* Monitor and update the Risk and Opportunity Register with cost implications**Desired or preferred experience and technical skills: *** Cost X measurement software or similar– Advanced proficiency in digital takeoff and measurement.* Advanced Microsoft Excel and project management software.* Familiarity with BIM software and MEP modeling tools.* Experience with cost databases and benchmarking tools.**Required Skills and Experience: *** Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field* Minimum 8-10 years experience in contract and cost management within the Middle East construction market.* Minimum 3 years in a senior QS role managing complex MEP projects.* Strong knowledge of regional construction contracts (FIDIC EPC, design and build).**Location: **On-site –Dubai, AREIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all of the requirements.
