Principal Engineer - Fire Detection Systems

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of Fire and Gas detection system projects within the Oil & Gas sector in the Middle East region.About the Role: This is a key role that directly reports to the Project Manager of Fire and Gas systems for the Middle East region.You will be part of a team responsible for the execution of Fire and Gas detection system projects within the Oil & Gas sector in the Middle East region.You will need to prepare schedules, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects, review them in compliance with NFPA codes & practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, specifications, and interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements.As a member of the team, you will work in a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to support the team with pre-sales/estimation.About You: You should have expertise in project executions and complex knowledge of designing Fire and Gas systems within the Oil & Gas Sector in the Middle East region.You need to develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans, complete technical studies, cost estimation, and confer with management.Determine project specifications by studying project design, customer requirements, and performance standards.Manage project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, resolving problems, preparing project status reports, and recommending actions.Manage the project execution, i.e., Design procurement, and installation activities within agreed budget and schedule, exceeding customer expectations.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project execution of major projects for Fire and Gas systems in the Oil & Gas sector within GCC countries.Strong technical knowledge of Fire and Gas systems.Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.Knowledge of project cost management, revenue generation, and invoicing to customers.Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.Material ordering and vendor management.Proficiency in producing technical documents such as Functional Design Specifications, Datasheets, Cause and Effect Matrix, Method Statements, I/O list, etc.Must have work experience in UAE/Oman/Kuwait/Qatar within the Oil & Gas sector.Proven track record in cost estimate during the design and development process, recommending cost-effective solutions, and ability to produce high-quality and impactful professional documents for clients and internal use.Fluency in English language is essential.Driving license with ability to travel.Revenue invoice and cash flow forecasting and achieving set-out plans.),
