Production Planning Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Production Planning Engineer to join our team.Key Responsibilities: Study project shop drawings with details and provide product breakdowns and sub-products required.Review all production operations and workstations in production departments, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.Calculate cycle times for each item and sub-item, evaluating time and motion studies for each process.Assign resources such as machines, manpower, and materials to standardize operations.Create production routs for each product, coordinating with maintenance departments to implement preventive maintenance and critical maintenance.Analyze master production schedules (MPS) and coordinate with material requirements planning (MRP) departments.Develop and manage monthly and weekly production schedules, providing timely updates to management on status and expected delivery dates.Closely monitor production processes to ensure orders are completed on time and within budget, effecting changes to production schedules as necessary.Promptly inform relevant departments of changes to current production schedules, recommending viable solutions to reduce production operation times and costs while improving production processes and product quality.Address and resolve production issues to minimize delays, providing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) reports and managing production plans on enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production planning efficiency, including on-time delivery and production adherence.Contribute to capacity planning and forecasting to anticipate future resource requirements and participate in risk assessments.C coordinate with quality control teams to ensure compliance with product specifications and standards.Plan and control inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to balance availability.Maintain detailed production records and ensure data accuracy in ERP and related systems.Requirements A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning or a related field.Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Benefits A competitive salary and benefits package.About Us We are a leading manufacturer of (products), committed to delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service.
