Technical Design Specialist

Senior Architectural Technician We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Architectural Technician to join our architecture interiors studio in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.Prepare and revise detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to develop and refine design solutions.Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and project requirements.Conduct site visits to gather information and verify existing conditions.Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including technical reports and presentations.Coordinate with contractors and consultants to resolve technical issues during construction.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and quality standards.Use applications to scale and edit assignments involving computer-aided design and other graphics software, e.g., Auto CAD/Revit/Rhino, to achieve set results and deadlines.Digitize or trace sketches/concepts from designers to Auto CAD or Revit.Lead in preparing and producing drawings accurately at preliminary, detailed design, and tender stages, suggesting improvements where necessary.Apply industry knowledge and technical expertise to complete moderately complex tasks independently, seeking guidance for atypical assignments.Be accountable for specific project components with an impact on the team, other project teams, and external stakeholders.Analyze issues, apply solutions within defined parameters, and contribute to procedural improvements and new ideas.Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural drafting or a related field.Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Auto CAD and Revit.Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.Solid understanding of architectural design principles and sustainable design practices.Proven project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Experience working on projects in the UAE or Middle East region is preferred.Relevant certifications in architectural software or building codes are a plus.Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
