Data Governance Manager — Starlink Qatar We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Manager to establish and implement our enterprise-wide data governance strategy and framework. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and enforcing the policies, standards, and practices that ensure data is managed as a strategic asset across its lifecycle. You will lead the development of data stewardship models, metadata management, and data quality initiatives to support reliable and ethical data use. Working closely with enterprise architecture, data engineering, and compliance teams, you will embed governance principles throughout all data processes. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of responsible data use and accountability. The ideal candidate will drive a unified approach to data management, supporting value-driven analytics and reporting. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in governance integration and a passion for maintaining data quality, security, and compliance.Qualifications10+ years of progressive experience in the Data Governance domain.Proven expertise in developing and implementing enterprise data governance strategies, frameworks, and policies.Strong experience establishing data ownership, stewardship models, and facilitating governance forums.In-depth knowledge of data quality management, including defining metrics, rules, and remediation processes.Expertise in metadata management, data lineage, and implementing data cataloging solutions.Strong technical foundation and practical experience in SQL.Ability to embed governance controls for data access, retention, and classification into project lifecycles.Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with the ability to lead cross‑functional data governance initiatives and build consensus.Professional certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional), DAMA, or ISO 8000.Proficiency with data governance platforms like Microsoft Purview or Collibra.A Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.Experience applying governance principles to large-scale, enterprise platforms.Job Details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Information Technology Industries: Information Services
