Role Description: Qatar Engineering & Construction Company (Qcon) is seeking a full-time Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Senior Engineer located in Doha, Qatar. The engineer will be responsible for the Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning phase of projects in the Oil & Gas and Pipeline(s). This is an on-site role. As a Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Engineer, you will: Provide commissioning input at design and construction stages to enable early start-up and safe, logical plant start-up. Lead and provide expertise on completions to contractors and onsite staff. Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures. Instruct new teams on systems completion and handover processes. Conduct process line walk-downs, raise punch lists, and check system readiness for pre-commissioning activities. Supervise and manage execution of pre-commissioning procedures on-site, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety protocols. Coordinate pipeline flushing, pigging, hydrostatic testing, and other pre-commissioning activities. Oversee debris removal, cleaning, and flushing of pipelines to ensure they are contaminant-free before commissioning. Prepare summary reports on systems and sub-systems completion status. Interface with relevant teams to ensure system completion. Communicate and cooperate with project team members across various disciplines to facilitate effective information sharing. Identify and resolve pre-commissioning and commissioning issues. Assist in resource planning at key project phases. Maintain good site relations to support project continuity and repeat business. Develop and implement action plans as needed. Review and contribute to company development work methodologies and procedures. Attend FAT and SAT as required. Interact independently with vendors and clients. Participate in project meetings to review progress and address interface and execution issues based on lessons learned. Plan daily work, manage schedules and targets. Maintain commissioning records, including site observations, testing processes, and checklists. Keep punch list records updated. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 10+ years of experience, primarily in Commissioning or Completions. Experience with pipeline hydrostatic testing, pigging, and pre-commissioning activities. Strong understanding of mechanical, process engineering, and automation systems. Knowledge of commissioning procedures, methods, and protocols. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Qatar residents with NOC are preferred. Proficient in MS Office and computer skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across cultural areas.#J-18808-Ljbffr
