As a provider of multi-disciplinary technical services to the built environment, Atkins in the Middle East is committed to design excellence in delivering first-class solutions that combine innovation, imagination, and best practices.We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our expanding team in the Middle East, working on a range of challenging projects, particularly within our growing Ground Engineering team based in Dubai.The successful candidate will be a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with a proven track record in designing underground/civil engineering structures, including tunnels and shafts. Candidates should be practical and demonstrate strong commercial skills to help develop and expand our ground engineering business in the region.Requirements A good academic background with a civil engineering bachelor's or master's degree Chartered status in civil or structural engineering Experience in designing underground structures, tunnels, or related infrastructure Minimum 8 years of experience working on similar projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (clear, concise report writing expected)High motivation to succeed and develop their career Collaborative team player with a positive personality Practical experience in reinforcement design and detailing to British, European codes Commercially aware with a flexible attitude towards work and responsibilities Working knowledge of structural design software such as Plaxis, Robot, ETABS, Staad Pro Experience liaising with clients, contractors, design teams, and third parties Ability to support and guide junior team members Effective time management skills, especially when handling multiple projects Experience working with CAD Technicians to produce structural information Willingness to travel regionally and eligibility to work in KSA and Qatar, despite being based in Dubai Behaviours Excellent team player Decisive, clear, and consistent in design approach Strong communication skills Sound technical judgment Adaptable and flexible Willing to participate in all aspects of structural engineering workload delivery Note: The original document was cut off at the end, so some behavioral descriptions may be incomplete. #J-18808-Ljbffr
