The purpose of this role is to discharge Project Management and Control activities across the Typhoon Availability Service Operation at Dukhan Air Force Base (AFB), in Qatar.The role is responsible for monitoring and reporting againstcontractual performance and assisting with the establishment of Project Control procedures, methods andsystems, ensuring their appropriate application.The incumbent will be required to gather, synthesize & integrateinformation relating to performance (cost, resources and outputs), monitor andreport progress against plans, identify trends, analyze and interpret data andinformation to ensure all data and information is accurate, generate and publishregular reports, including contract review packs, with recommendations tosenior managers.The role also oversees high priority orspecial projects as directed; responsible for providing analysis, guidance anddirection within areas of expertise. This position will anticipate, escalateand solve management and business problems independently.Requirements Contract Management: Responsible for supportingthe contractual management aspects of the Typhoon Support & Training Contract: Key Performance Measures: Contractual Training Requirements and deliverables;On-base acceptance events;BFP/R (GFx) Customer dependencies;On-base FSR supplier contracts;–Co-ordinate and control of contractual scope changerequirements;–Ensure that all stakeholders, in particular thecustomer community, are appropriately briefed and understand the contractualavailability service;–Establish an internal set of performancemeasures/metrics to monitor BAE Systems contractual performance to minimiserisk and maximize opportunity on the contract.Project Management & Control: Integrate and project managecross programme activities, synthesizing complex programme information fromboth internal and external stakeholders, including, but not limited to: Prepare and collate the finance information for the Contract Status Reports (CSR);Review and ratify risk and opportunity provisions;Responsible for the project management of the Dukhan AFBOperation, delivering all on-base reporting and control of costs;Generate and maintain integrated program schedules;The administration of the Work Authorisation process, from Works Authorities, the central control of Directives, Purchase Authorities and CCNs;Support reviews including but not limited to PDRs, QCRs,QBRs, risk & opportunity, Change Control Boards, Business Operations andcustomer PRMs;Responsible for monitoring and analysing actual costs on amonthly basis, updating of ETCs and any associated risk and the reporting of EAC movements as required.Training Delivery: Define and delivercontracted training solutions, whilst maximising operational efficiency andminimising costs;Co-ordinate, control andreport all training progression and performance indicators;Act as the key interfacewith Qatari customer for all contractual training requirements anddeliverables;Ensure that the coordinatedtraining programme aligns to the customer BFP/R (GFx) Manpower commitments tosupport operational delivery.Customer Dependency Management: Coordinate customerdependencies schedule adherence deliverables and change requests, ensuring thesuccessful delivery of the contract;Responsible for thereporting and ratification of risk exposure provision position and estimatingactivities (EAC position, etc.);Escalate commercial issuesand act as the key interface with the senior customer, as required.Additional responsibilities / Activities: Internal and externalmeeting coordination and Customer Relationship management;Ensure compliance with themandated BAE Systems Governance Framework, including, but not limited to; Life Cycle Management (LCM), Business Continuity Management (BCM) – Incident Management (IM), Gifts & Hospitality (G&H), Responsible Document Record Management (RDRM), Export Control, SHE, et al.Functional Knowledge & Experience: Experienced and in-depth Project Management & Controlknowledge and techniques in an Operational Aircraft Support environment ispreferred;High level of MS Office knowledge and application;Programme Reporting experience;Understanding and appreciation of operating in acustomer-focused organisation in the Middle East;Commercial and Contractual Awareness;Purchasing Process and Export control awareness;Contract Status Reporting (CSRs).Business Expertise: Understanding and appreciation of each function operatingwithin an aircraft maintenance operational Availability Service;Appreciation of Project Management practises, managing cost,time and quality;Understanding of contract management;Ability to think strategically and act in a detailed,hands-on manner;Strong organisational skills and proven project managementexperience;Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written andverbal;Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, coordinate, anddirect multiple projects and activities with varied deadlines;Good judgment and sensitivity to confidential documents,issues and information;High level of diplomacy, tact and discretion. Understandsethical issues and has a proven high level of integrity.Qualifications: Roles typically require a university degree, or an extensiveamount of practical knowledge gained through experience;Proficient level of English, written & verbal.Problem Solving: High problem solving competencies required to addresscomplex issues around aircraft operations and maintenance;High level of critical thinking required to work across anumber of stakeholders both internal and external to resolve issues and deliverin line with customer expectations whilst maintaining Contracted Operationalperformance;Ability to challenge and engage with stakeholder at alllevels of the organisation in order to deliver a series of programmes to time,quality and cost;Ability to work under pressure and to timescales;Ability to recognise and escalate issues in a timely manner.Nature of Impact: Contractual & Business performance - by influencingdecisions through advice and counsel;Company reputation and growth of business - through theeffectiveness of its Project Management practices.Area of Impact: Impacts indirectly on the Internal Business Plan achievementfor the line of business or project, having responsibility for aspects of Project Management processes.Interpersonal Skills: Diplomacy skills required in order to work across businessboundaries to achieve optimum solutions;Participation in negotiations and influence operationalmanagers, primarily internally at all levels;Ability to influence customers and motivate the local team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
