POSITION OBJECTIVE: To assist Senior Veterinarian
To collect and make all animals veterinary reports
To reduce the animal's disease agents.
To minimize transmit of infection between animals and units
To locate suitable solutions at times of emergencies.
To determine procedures desirable for the protection of animals against diseases
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Tomonitor operation of bio-security program at the island
2. To monitor animals and birds feeding behaviour and ensures that they are in good health.
3. Tocollect biological material (blood, faeces, swabs, etc.) from animals, further experiment to Lab analysis along with senior veterinarian
4. To manage medication and provide ample treatment to sick and injured animals and birds with senior veterinarian consultation
5. Todetect the incineration of died animals and birds along with senior veterinarian
6. To develop and implement preventive therapy program and convey to all unit in-charges.
7. To observe the animals necessitate for the process of hooves trimming
8. To perform chemical immobilization of animals and their safe recovery.
9. Toexecute post mortems send sick or died animals to lab. And report to senior veterinarian
10. To apply Vaccination programme, where possible
11. To submit monthly report for the future prediction of caring the animals in a healthier mode
12. To develop the plans and strategies for further improvements in veterinary care program
13. To monitor and check the daily routine feeding and watering to animals and birds.
14. To examine the quality of nutrition and watering provided to animals
15. Sterilize laboratory and surgical equipment
16. Provide post-operative care
17. Prepare samples for laboratory examination under a veterinarian or lab technician
