About the Role: • Reporting to the Lead Engineer, Environment and Energy Management, HSE Department the job holder is responsible to support the Energy Management concepts, Sustainability framework, and knowledge, to ensure proper practices and desired awareness in line with Energy Management System and Sustainability. • This role includes planning and developing, designing, updating, and advising on the Energy Management System, and practices to support the energy performance of all company assets, operations and facilities in line with Energy Certification (i.e. ISO 50001) and relevant local and international standards, regulations and best practices. • Reporting of Data base management of Sustainability Index, which includes Environment, Energy and Social indicators.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITITES • To Monitor plant energy performance by calculating Energy Intensity Index, EnPI, flue gas analysis and other relevant metrics, as per the standard requirement. • To Identify the specific energy users (SEU) and calculate the percentage consumption compare to the overall plant consumption. • To calculate the specific energy consumption (SEC) for overall plant and its sub processes. • To prepare the yearly source emission inventory for overall the plant based on each equipment energy (Fuel Gas) consumption as per Dubai Municipality requirement. • To Prepare the training modules for energy and sustainability for company employees and contractors. • To do Detail evaluation and report preparation for electrical/electronic equipment in line with the green procurement standard and requirement. • To provide technical assistance to renewable energy source. • To work closely with Operations, Maintenance, OPEX, HSE and Sustainability team to identify, promote and develop energy conservation opportunities. • To work as energy auditor to systematically identify energy performance gaps in daily operations as well as acting as internal auditor for the Energy Management System. • To take ownership in ensuring periodic external energy management system audits. • To work closely with the Energy Manager (EnMS) and Energy Team Members of the company to implement the continual improvement in energy management system. • To Review ISO 50001 Energy Management System procedure in line with the standard requirement periodically. • To Review Energy baseline of overall the plant periodically. • To collect and report sustainability data and ERM business plan, quarterly. • To present Sustainability and Energy Management Systems, Induction training for the company employees and contractors. • To collect and prepare top management review meeting presentation for energy and sustainability with respect to the standard requirements. • To maintain and follow-up company’s yearly sustainability KPI. • To evaluate site wide energy synergies with existing assets. • To participates in small scale energy related projects and applies Best Available Techniques (BAT) and good practices for the continual improvement. • Develop and maintain Company’s Energy Management Information System and Energy Reports
Minimum Qualification/Certifications Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering • Post-Graduation Degree in Energy Management • Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) by AEE • Certified ISO 50001 Lead Auditor • Certified ISO 50001 Internal Auditor • Certified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor • Certified ISO 14001 Internal Auditor
Minimum Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required: • 10 years of experience in energy Efficiency/Management, which includes, at least 7 years of experience in similar petrochemical industry in UAE. • Expertise in energy balances and energy efficiency calculations for petrochemical processes. • Experience in INTELEX software, Q - pulse software and Active Trend Factory software. • Knowledge on thermodynamics with respect to Energy management. • Knowledge of Energy Management Systems and its requirements and standards with respect to ISO certification. • Knowledge on Green procurement standard and requirement. • Knowledge on Dubai Municipality legislation and Supreme Energy council requirements
