Operations Project Manager - Amentum

The Operations Project Manager is responsible for providing advanced business support to the DPM. The role involves coordinating with Functional Leads and subject matter experts to provide inputs and status updates on project assignments, ensuring resource allocation as needed. Working with AFCENT and senior staff, the Project Manager will establish realistic goals and objectives aligned with the GPMS Contract for Operations, ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).Principal Accountabilities Provide direct support to the Deputy Program Manager on actions necessary to meet suspenses.Organize, prioritize, and summarize incoming materials, information, special requests, and outgoing correspondence.Contribute to Project Management Rough Orders of Magnitude and Contract change proposals.Manage outload processes for major exercises.Ensure all required training is provided to sites for task implementation.Coordinate and prepare letters for the PM / PMO staff regarding reports due to the customer, such as annual and monthly CDRLs.Schedule DPM weekly staff meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to keep briefings current.Maintain and, as appropriate, execute or coordinate functions during the absence of the Deputy Program Manager, keeping them informed of daily activities.Create, maintain, update, and reconcile spreadsheets to support program analysis for senior management.Prepare correspondence and reports as directed by senior management and independently for the corporate office, applicants, vendors, or employees.Provide expert technical advice on advanced technology and logistics support for planning, programming, procurement, implementation, development, and fielding of new or modernized systems.Oversee Operations Functional Managers and SMEs in developing effective logistics and maintenance policies, ensuring compliance with DOD and USAF directives.Perform other duties as assigned.Work in a normal office environment.Proficient in personal computers, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word).Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.Ability to work independently, meet goals, and handle confidential information with discretion.Possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain a host nation driver's license.Hold a High School diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in project management or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for education.Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.Ability to perform light to moderate lifting and work overtime or outside standard hours as needed.Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.Prior military experience in Southwest Asia AOR and/or the War Reserve Material Program is preferred.Amentum is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
