Installation Supervisor (T&I, DSV) - Offshore Subsea Projects Location: Offshore / Global Marine Spread, Qatar Industry: Offshore Oil & Gas / Subsea Construction Project Type: Subsea Pipelines, Cables, Structural Installation Contract Type: Contract Assignment Role Overview An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Installation Supervisor to oversee the safe and effective execution of offshore transportation and installation (T&I) activities, with a particular focus on subsea cable lay, burial, and survey operations. The successful candidate will serve as the on-board Client Representative, coordinating daily offshore works and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and approved procedures. Key Responsibilities Act as focal point for coordination of day-to-day offshore cable lay, burial, and survey operations aboard the contractor's marine spread. Work closely with offshore stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient execution in compliance with project specifications. Ensure activities are performed in accordance with approved method statements, procedures, and documentation requirements. Supervise and verify offshore activities, including inspections and acceptance of works. Prepare daily activity reports, communicate progress, highlight constraints, and provide forward planning updates to relevant stakeholders. Coordinate with asset holders to ensure timely Permit-to-Work (PTW) approvals, enabling efficient utilisation of offshore resources. Maintain accurate records of works performed, inspections, and key decisions for audit and traceability purposes. Qualifications & Experience Degree or Diploma in Engineering from a recognised institution. 10-15 years of experience in offshore oil & gas construction, with significant exposure to subsea pipelines, cables, and structural installations. Prior experience in a senior offshore role, either with a contracting organisation or as a Client Representative. Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and professional approach to contractor and stakeholder management. Experience with subsea cable lay, burial operations, and barge supervision is strongly preferred. Proven track record in managing offshore marine spread operations and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Personal Attributes Highly safety-conscious, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under offshore operational conditions. Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and challenging offshore environments.
