Lead Electrical Engineer

Job Summary Responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of electrical and instrumentation engineering and installation for complex systems including QRH and BAS. Ensures successful integration of signal cabling, PLCs, and telecom interfaces into the overall control architecture. Provides technical leadership from design through commissioning while ensuring compliance with international and local standards.Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical and instrumentation works across engineering, construction, and commissioning phases. Manage integration of PLC systems, signal cabling, and telecom interfaces. Review and validate vendor documents, drawings, and technical submittals. Support and participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test). Lead loop checks and troubleshoot system issues to ensure readiness. Ensure compliance with IEC, project-specific, and local regulatory standards. Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams including construction, QA/QC, and commissioning. Provide guidance to instrument technicians and subcontractors to ensure high-quality execution. Ensure seamless integration with client control systems and oversee system handover procedures.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent) is an advantage.Experience Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial infrastructure projects. Proven experience with PLC integration, control systems, and telecom interfaces. Strong background in FAT/SAT, loop checking, and commissioning activities. In-depth knowledge of IEC standards, construction methodologies, and commissioning best practices.
