Lead Contracts Engineer Adecco Careers Location: Doha, Qatar Posted In: 13/7/2013 Job Description: Prepare potential bidders lists based upon the existing data regarding contracts maintained in a data bank and ensure prequalification status. Prepare and compile Tender Documents for tenders issued directly by the Department. Review and check on Tender Documents prepared by consultants. Draft contract documents, interpret contractual obligations and assist in the administration of approved contracts. Review and report on contractual deviations in bids. Participate in commercial bid evaluations. Develop and prepare price schedules in line with agreed contracting strategies. Study and evaluate claims and change order requests in accordance with contractual obligations and advise on appropriate measures. Establish and implement insurance administration within the projects in collaboration with Finance and Legal Departments. Prepare Management Contracts Status Reports. Regular contacts at own or next higher level in own department to coordinate work and answer queries. Frequent contact with Consultants and contractors. Work independently in accordance with established procedures, standards and specialized professional standards. Work accomplishments are subject to periodic review and major issues are referred to the Contracts Manager with recommendations for resolution. Membership of the RICS at MRICS level or directly equivalent national institution recognized and accredited by the RICS. Experience & Skills: Minimum 10 years post qualification, broad experience in large building and civil infrastructure projects. Experience with either Contracting or Consulting organizations. Ability to provide professional contract engineering services for both pre-contract and post contract duties. Must be able to demonstrate experience in providing advice on complex contractual and contracting issues as well as the successful management of large scale projects from inception to close out.
