The Van Salesman will be responsible for driving sales through direct selling and distribution of products from the assigned Supervisor / Manager. The role involves managing a designated sales route, building customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. Sales and Distribution : Drive the sales of products from the assigned Supervisor by visiting customers on an established route. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to meet customer demands. Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with retail customers, understanding their needs and preferences. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide product information. Route Planning : Plan and optimize daily sales routes to maximize efficiency and coverage. Coordinate with the sales and logistics teams to ensure on-time deliveries. Product Knowledge : Develop a deep understanding of the products in the assigned Supervisor. Provide information to customers on product features, benefits, and promotions. Work towards achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the Sales Supervisor / Manager. Implement sales strategies to increase product penetration in the market. Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure that products are properly displayed at retail outlets. Monitor and replenish stock levels at point-of-sale locations. Payment Collection : Collect payments from customers and issue receipts. Reconcile cash and transactions daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences. Provide feedback to the Supervisor / Manager to inform product and sales strategy. Reporting : Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and market feedback. Submit regular reports to the Sales Supervisor / Manager. Compliance and Safety : Adhere to safety regulations while driving and delivering products. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Desired Candidate Profile High school diploma or equivalent; additional sales or business-related education is a plus. Proven experience as a Van Sales Representative in the FMCG industry. A minimum of 2-6 years of experience in the same capacity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license (Medium Vehicle) and a clean driving record. Familiarity with sales software and mobile sales applications.
