Record and confirm restaurant reservations/cancellations in accordance with departmental standards. Communicate reservation/cancellation changes to management as they arise throughout the shift. Monitor the preparation of own assignments, ensuring compliance with departmental standards. Ensure that all menus and check folders are clean and sufficiently stocked. Keep the hostess stand clean and organized. Review the reservation book, pre-assign designated tables, and follow up on all special requests. Greet guests at the entrance of the restaurant. Seat guests according to the floor plan, ensuring fairness to each waiter. Show guests to their designated tables. Ensure guests are satisfied with their seating. Present the menu to guests. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Be familiar with hotel services and activities to respond accurately to guest inquiries.Qualifications Excellent communication and organizational skills. Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage/Restaurant operations, preferably in a similar quality hotel. A friendly, outgoing personality, capable of supporting and involving in operations. Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently.#J-18808-Ljbffr
