Note: This is a long-term contract position lasting 2 to 4 years. If you have a valid QID and are a resident of Qatar, select 'NO' when prompted. Overview: We are seeking a Material and Equipment Technician for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role and must be fluent in English. Key Responsibilities: Perform safe daily inspections, maintenance, and preservation of EPRS materials and equipment at facilities such as the RLIC warehouse and Frame Storage Yard in the Port area. Support emergency response activities as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Maintain and update operational, inspection, maintenance, and preservation manuals, ensuring proper record control for the RLIC warehouse and Frame Storage facilities. Execute inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory checks for EPRS materials and equipment. Implement continuous improvement plans and corrective actions. Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload EPRS materials to designated locations. Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and efficient execution of tasks, adhering to QA/QC, HSE procedures, and 'Permit to Work' requirements. Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory rules, completing daily Control of Work (Co W) procedures. Identify and understand tools, materials, and procedures prior to work execution. Promote a culture of reliability and continuous improvement. Comply with the Management of Change (Mo C) process for procedural, equipment, or process modifications. Accurately record shift and crew-change handovers in logs, following established guidelines. Participate in emergency response activities and exercises as part of the emergency response team. Develop and maintain databases for inspection, maintenance, preservation, and pipeline data. Monitor maintenance effectiveness, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed. Requirements: Higher National Diploma or equivalent from a recognized university. At least five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role. Valid IMDG certification. Rigging and Lifting certification or similar is preferred. Experience in warehousing, logistics, and material handling, with the ability to resolve operational issues. Proficiency in computer applications. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Self-motivated, capable of working independently without close supervision. Resilient under pressure and able to handle complex issues and competing priorities.
