Job Responsibilities: Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections, and written communication.Prepare correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and file maintenance.Participate in daily sales meetings, pre-convention meetings, training, and other sales-related meetings as required.Work with other hotel departments to provide quality service to customers.Attend trade shows, community events, and industry meetings.Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.Represent the hotel professionally in community and industry organizations and events.Collaborate as a team with all departments.Assist with reports and competition data collection.Maintain strong client relations and ensure that convention specifications are communicated and executed for successful meetings.Review sales contracts and important details like room block, cut-off date, concessions, and attrition clauses; validate with clients via turnover letters.Monitor and enforce program deadlines; work with clients to release unused meeting space to maximize revenue.Produce and distribute convention resumes.Distribute BEOs for groups and affiliates.Participate in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming groups and potential business.Verify credit information in account management software at turnover, including billing estimates, type, and contract details; update as necessary until departure.Participate in Pre/Post-Convention meetings and review bills with clients.Introduce and recommend house vendors as preferred vendors aligned with hotel revenue goals.Establish checklist trace dates using appropriate computer programs.Attend all necessary department and hotel meetings.Qualifications: 2+ years of progressive sales or event management experience, or an associate's degree or higher in business, luxury event coordinating, culinary arts, hospitality, or related fields, or equivalent experience.Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships that lead to sales.Service-oriented with professional presentation skills.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.Experience in managing events in a luxury setting.Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is a platform connecting jobseekers and employers.
