By demonstrating leadership capabilities, motivation, andproductivity, they may be considered for senior roles and responsibilities,such as Dean/Associate Dean of the School, Programme Leader, Module Leader, or Coordinator. There are ample opportunities for professional growth within theinstitution for the right candidates.The ideal candidate for this position will be able to: Deliver a range of modules across theprogramme.Develop teaching materials and assessments forthe modules they deliver. Senior Lecturers are expected to contribute toteaching materials and assessment development for all modules across programmesto meet learning objectives.Update and revise existing modules in line withthe latest industry developments.Collaborate with industry advisory boards toenhance programme relevance and quality.Develop assessments in accordance with LJMUguidelines, adhering to assessment matrices and deadlines for verification andexternal moderation.Act as a personal tutor for students across theprogramme portfolio.Mentor and coach students, addressing academicconcerns, performance, and progression.Teach and assess students across written andpresentation skills, providing individualised feedback.Participate in extracurricular activities tofoster teamwork and student engagement.Supervise or co-supervise undergraduate andpostgraduate research projects.Comply with LJMU academic regulations and OUCquality assurance processes.Contribute to the development of existingprogrammes and the introduction of new ones.Develop and deliver CPD and short courses toexpand the School of Foundation Studies and Mathematics' portfolio.Engage in approved research within strategicpriority areas.Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars,tutorials, practical sessions, workshops, and field excursions forundergraduate and postgraduate programmes.Attend departmental, school, and facultymeetings, and participate in committee memberships.Commit to continuous professional and personaldevelopment.Proactively contribute to the college’sstrategic growth plans and corporate initiatives.Requirements About You Weexpect you to demonstrate the following: Apostgraduate degree (preferably a Ph D, or a master’s degree with relevantindustry experience).
