Senior Controller - Transmission

Description Position at Al Jazeera Media Network Al Jazeera Media Networks Technology Division are current see a Senior Transmission Controllerwho will be responsible for the final program output of Al Jazeera Media Network. As the Senior Transmission Controllers you will also be responsible for reviewing all programmes and commercial content prior to broadcast (QC – quality control) and must ensure it meets with technical broadcast standards as well as rules and regulations.Key Responsibilities: Operate effectively the automation transmission systems, Accurate and effective construction and detailed meticulous checking of daily playlist schedules, Transmission functions include operation of play-out systems, schedule verification, service monitoring and detection and resolution of service incidents, Perform consistently at a very high standard and be proactive in monitoring of output to ensure channels are broadcast according to schedule and that problems or potential issues are detected and resolved in a timely and accurate manner, Resolve incidents and ensure the impact on transmission output is minimized, and that faults are escalated and reported appropriately, Ensuring adequate follow up of all incidents during the shift in order to prevent repetition of faults, To communicate incidents accurately and appropriately to management, To ensure that output adheres to strict guidelines set down by regulatory authorities Education: Bachelor Degree in Media, Film, Broadcast Operations, Communications, or related field Diploma Experience: Minimum 5 year’s experience as a Transmission Controller, including experience with a major international broadcast facility, and with a minimumof 4 of those years working within a live news and/or sports environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
