Dean - College of Humanities and Social Sciences The Dean will be responsible for developing and implementing the college's strategic plan, goals, and initiatives. They will oversee and enhance academic programs to meet the evolving needs of students and Qatar society, promote innovative research initiatives, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration within HBKU and Qatar Foundation's Education City. The ideal candidate will have a Ph D in social sciences or humanities, with a proven track record of academic leadership, including successful administration, program development, and strategic planning. They should possess an excellent scholarly record, including publications and funded research projects, and have a forward-thinking approach to addressing local, regional, and global challenges through humanities and social sciences. Responsibilities include recruiting, supporting, and retaining a diverse, high-caliber faculty, cultivating relationships with external stakeholders such as alumni, government bodies, and industry partners, and engaging with the community. Knowledge of the region and proficiency in Arabic are desirable qualities.
