Senior Electrical Engineer

Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Electrical)Nationality: Any Nationality Vacancy: 1 Vacancy Job Description Key responsibilities: Ensures team adherence to engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.Supports standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.Contributes to understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence.Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.Provides technical supervision of project electrical designers and draftsmen.Keeps aware of project scope, cost, and time requirements; assists in meeting expectations and coordinates with other disciplines.Implements innovative solutions and technology to handle out-of-sequence work effectively.Supports Lead Engineer in monitoring quality, drives squad checking, and recommends improvements.Assists project team with documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules.Manages electrical design and changes within budget and schedule.Prepares and participates in electrical meetings, progress reports, and checks procedures.Reviews and approves technical documents, coordinates with Lead Engineer.Advises on layouts, site preparation during technical evaluation to ensure compliance.Performs Power System Analysis in ETAP for load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonics, and power factor correction.Prepares load lists, single line diagrams, PMS architecture.Plans electrical equipment layout and cable routing in substations and electrical rooms.Performs equipment sizing calculations and checks, lighting calculations, earthing, and lightning protection calculations.Plans and supports design teams in preparing drawings and schedules.Conducts MV cable sizing using IEC60287 and CYMECAP (advantageous).Possesses knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and offshore/onshore engineering practices for oil and gas facilities.Quality Assurance Works within Quality Assurance systems and guidelines.Safety Practices personal safety and follows OH&S procedures.HSE Capability Maintains HSE focus, demonstrates commitment to health, safety, and environmental performance.Identifies and reports hazards and incidents.Requirements Industry Specific Experience: Extensive experience in electrical design and engineering for oil & gas or large industrial projects, especially onshore.Experience with brownfield projects and asset services.Knowledge of MV cable sizing per IEC60287 using CYMECAP (advantageous).Experience with Qatar projects and Kahramaa standards (preferred).Education, Qualifications, and Training: Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.MME engineering accreditation is mandatory; willingness to obtain within probation is required.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or pursuing it is an advantage.Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is a platform connecting jobseekers and employers.
