Job Title: Electrical Materials Standards Specialist Qualifications Bachelor of Technology/Engineering in Electrical (required)Master of Technology/Engineering in Electrical (preferred)Candidate Profile Experience: 20-25 years in a reputed electrical consultancy firm, focusing on material standards and specifications.Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed university.Memberships: Preferably a member of international technical committees such as IEC, CIGRE, or similar.Industry Experience: Experience with distribution utilities in material standards and specifications.Hands-on experience with design and construction activities for electrical equipment in distribution networks.Strong technical knowledge of electrical equipment and materials used in distribution networks.Ability to develop and implement technical specifications and standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive problem-solving skills, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail.Job Responsibilities Develop, review, and ensure compliance with material standards and specifications for electrical equipment and systems used in distribution networks.Collaborate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure materials meet technical requirements.Review and provide technical guidance on material selection for electrical systems.Support the integration of new technologies and standards in the design and construction of distribution networks.Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation, including specifications, standards, and guidelines.Ensure adherence to international standards and best practices.Participate in technical meetings and liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and standards related to material specifications.Note: This job posting is for a specialized role requiring extensive experience and expertise in electrical material standards.
