Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Conducting a full inspection of vehicle and trailer operation prior to departure from site
  


• The security of the vehicle, trailer and load
  


• Ensuring that all delivery procedures are accurately followed in line with company and customers procedures
  


• Ensuring all company documentation and equipment is returned to the transport office daily
  


• Ensuring Health and Safety requirements are met within company and legal frameworks so that there is a safe and hygienic environment
  


• Reporting any issues regarding any aspect of the delivery, including vehicle and trailer defects, to the


• Transport office
  


• Maintaining a high level of hygiene and housekeeping within the depot and maintain the same policy for the vehicle and trailer allocated for the daily duties
  


• Complying with and ensuring driver's hours regulations, working time directive and tachographs are in line with the current legislation and company procedures
  

Your skills and experience:

• Valid driving licence for vehicle being driven
  


• CPC licence
  


• Good knowledge of UK road system
  


• A good working knowledge of EU driving regulations and Working Time Directive Legislation
  


• Good communication skills
  


• A basic standard of literacy and numeracy
  


• The ability to work to agreed targets and KPI's
  


• Personal drive, be self-motivated, target driven, reliable and flexible
  


• A focus on accuracy and attention to detail
