Hamburg Trading Corporation (HTC) was founded in 1978 as successor to Manila Liason

Representative of K.D. Feddersen office which was already registered in November 1968.

Originally HTC engaged exclusively in the sale of industrial chemicals mainly serving Chinese

importers.

Later, because the chemical industry in the Philippines did not develop as expected, technical

products as well as food ingredients were added to the program and nowadays HTC serves various industries such as food, pharma, agriculture, plastic, cement, glass and steel etc.

Initially HTC did business exclusively on indent basis. Due to changing market conditions and in order to serve our customers better we decided to import chemicals ourselves and set up our own distribution network. In addition to excellent distribution services, we provide a range of innovative, value added services for our clients and suppliers, to foster mutual success and growth.

HTC is most notably strong in the food industry and for a quite considerable time all major food processors are our customers. In the course of years, we became one of the leading national distributors of food ingredients and related products. We have been representing Cargill Specialty Asia for starch derivatives, gums, hydrocolloids, soy products, sweeteners and other functional ingredients; Cargill Cocoa and Chocolates, DD Williamson for caramel as well as natural colors and Prayon S.A. for phosphates. Lately we were appointed by Merck Millipore as dealer for food and beverage for reagents, analytics, microbiology and instrumentations.

Regarding industrial chemicals our main principals are Solvay Fluor, Prayon, Evonik and K.D. Feddersen.

Currently we are renting a warehouse of 2,500 sqm in San Pedro, Laguna but we have purchased a 7,000 sqm lot in Meridian Industrial Park in Sta. Rosa where we are presently constructing our own office, warehouse, and laboratory in full swing. We are scheduled to move to the new location by April 2017. By that time we should also have our Good Warehouse Practice Certificates as well as ISO and HACCP Certification.
