JOB DESCRIPTION
As Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing electrical engineering and related activities associated with solar projects, including electrical equipment selection, electrical equipment calculations, electrical equipment specification and design, mv/hv project electrical design and drawing preparation, cable sizing and scheduling, you will be responsible to design protection and control system to meet project requirements for your own and other team member's projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Joining in Solar Philippines and reporting to the EE Design Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include, but not limited to:
• Coordinate or perform all activities within the engineering discipline stream for the project
• Carry out detailed design, sizing and calculations and verify and check the design done by other members of the team
• Ensure all documents and drawings are issued on time with proper quality
• Preparation of electrical drawings (incl. layouts, wiring diagrams and interconnections) in AutoCAD and BoM's
• Design of electrical building services for the substation including: Lighting, FA, grounding, etc.
• Act as an expert in the engineering team for protection and control
• Conduct electrical studies for projects arch flash study, coordination study, short circuit system study
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in electrical engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience in protection and control background, medium voltage underground design. You must have experience in conducting electrical studies and ability to work in a multinational environment within a matrix organization.
