Job details
- Develops design for garment, adapts existing design or copies existing design for garment
- Alters garments and joins parts with thread/needle and/or machine
- positions patterns of garment parts on fabric and cuts fabric along outlines
- Must be able to interpret a designer's sketch
- Ability to form a pattern from the basis of a garment
- altering and shaping flat, standard pattern 'blocks' into a style
- know about garment construction and pattern cutting techniques
- Act as a link between the design and the manufacturing stages
- Creating pattern templates using working drawings
- good math skills for measurements and calculations
- possess a good eye for detail
- Has technical drawing skills
- must have atleast 2 years of experience
-must have portfolio and the finishing must be clean
