We’ve got what you’re looking for.Job Description: Planning Engineer Abu Dhabi, UAEParsons is looking for a talented Planning Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will support the tracking, updating, and monitoring of cost control and scheduling functions on smaller projects or assist a senior Project Control Engineer/Specialist on larger projects.What You'll Be Doing: Review and convey Engineer’s consent to the Contractors’ Baseline schedule of works in line with contract conditions, using Parsons recommended practices.Validate the compatibility of project resources for timely completion.Develop a Master Schedule integrating multiple packages considering their interdependencies to identify and reflect the impact of one schedule/project on others.Evaluate and verify planning and scheduling information from updated/progress schedules, identify potential delays, highlight critical events, and suggest mitigation measures.Perform “What if” analyses to assess the time impact of changes, variations, and potential events, providing alternative actions before issuing instructions to contractors.Prepare regular progress and monthly reports with program analysis and recommendations, addressing issues to ensure timely project completion, and create presentations on work progress concerning milestones.Assess claims such as Extension of Time and Disruption using delay analysis methodologies, demonstrating contractor’s concurrent delays.Coordinate and resolve planning and scheduling issues with contractors and the employer.Coordinate with the client to finalize contractor programs, reports, and claims.Attend meetings (kick-off, technical, progress review), provide inputs, and prepare minutes.Create trackers/logs to monitor critical issues during design and construction stages.Establish progress measurement systems and key indicators with consultants and contractors.Communicate effectively, conduct presentations, and respond analytically to contractor notices using programming data, sound practices, and contractual provisions.Maintain proper project records.Issue delay notices for contractor delays or slow performance.Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.Minimum 5+ years of experience in planning and scheduling on relevant projects.Experience in infrastructure, utilities, or building projects with industry understanding and coordination skills.Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.Desired Skills: Good communication skills, both written and oral.Thorough knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.Parsons values diversity and is committed to equal employment opportunity.
