Job details
We're looking for an experienced web (WordPress) and mobile (IONIC Framework) developer who can identify, design and implement custom solutions to help solve client communications challenges. Someone who thinks in terms of the user experience, not just the technical requirements. You will partner with account, design and analytics teams to create event websites, event registrations, event shops, mobile apps and maintain our existing solutions. The position requires a problem solver and strategic counselor with an appetite for diving into code, managing tech vendors and working the ins and outs of
WordPress and IONIC.
Responsibilities:
• Architect technical solutions and identify ways to enhance the development process
• Lead IA, UI/UX and wireframe exercises, with a focus on building responsive websites and applications
• Articulate ideas, products and technologies in coherent, constructive and easy to digest formats; ability to communicate is key to this position
• Design, develop and maintain websites and apps in various languages and technologies
• Code or manage the code review and deployment process
• Identify, screen and manage vendor and freelancer relationships
• Ensure development deliverables are adequately tested; troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve production issues
• Collaborate, build consensus and work constructively with project teams across all phases of the development cycle
• Develop technical briefs and manage production timelines
• Stay informed of industry best practices
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, under various deadlines
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience with WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• 3+ years of experience with Cross Platform App Development (IONIC Framework)
• 3+ years of client or account-facing technical project management in an agency environment
• Passion for emerging technologies and learning new programming languages, platforms, and mediums
• Experience in both front-end and server-side development
• Solid understanding of web standards and security considerations throughout the development cycle
• Very good knowledge with Project Management Software (JIRA, Redmine or else)
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Fluent English (required) and German (preferred) language skills
Education
• Bachelor's degree
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Interaction Design, Experience Design, Software Development or professional equivalent or certification
