The Floor Manager is responsible for floor operations, training, and managing of FOH restaurant staff. Managing employees requires training and communicating restaurant policies to the workers, scheduling shifts, and calling in workers when there is a gap in shift coverage. Floor Manager also pitch in during peak dining hours. Floor manager are physically present on the restaurant floor and in the kitchen/Bar to monitor the quality of the service and the food & Beverages.

The individual must also ensure the restaurant complies with local health and safety codes for eating establishments. Managers must also perform the administrative duties for the facility, such as inventory and supplies, check receipts, check daily sales booking, special orders and catering management. He/she directly reports to the Operations Manager and directly manages the Supervisors. Including Takeaway, delivery and catering customers, and in-charge of outside event Function and make sure that it runs smoothly.

SCOPE OF WORK:


• Managing the restaurant as an independent, profitable unit, table visit and 90% of the floor operations management.


• Setting high performance standards


• Planning, organizing, directing and managing all the FOH activities to achieve maximum Guest satisfaction through high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation and service

• Being efficient and diplomatic where the reputation or image of the company is represented, particularly when dealing with situations involving food and beverage.


• Accomplish Human Resources objective by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectation; planning, monitoring, appraising and review job contributions, planning and reviewing compensation actions, enforcing policies and procedures.


• Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing actions plans; implementing productions, productivity, quality, and customers service standards; resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements; implementing changes.


• Controls cost by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparations; minimize waste; ensuring high quality of preparation.

• Maintains ambiance by controlling lighting, linen service, glassware, dinnerware and utensil quality and placements; monitoring food presentation and services.

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

• Enhance department and organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.

• To comply with the conditions of food hygiene policies as applicable in the United Arab Emirates

• Be in charge of staff and items at events and functions, maintain the look and feel of the Employer and follow the Employer's standard at all times.

• Ensuring the store is free from expired products
