Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of, is seeking a leader for its Middle East and Africa Public Sector Partners – Systems Integrators, Resellers, ISVs - business to create solutions and services for customers.

The leader will be responsible for setting up a Public Sector Partner community, driving deep relationships at C level with the top AWS Partners, developing them as AWS Partners, and delivering joint sales and marketing initiatives for Government, Education, Healthcare, Defense, State Owned Companies and Not for Profit customers.

As a Partner leader, you will develop, and manage a team of Partner development managers who maintain alliances and deliver results with the Partners who are most valuable to Public Sector customers. The team will be responsible for supporting the Partners as they release solutions to market, connect them with the Middle East and Africa AWS technical and business teams, put together and execute joint sales and marketing plans, and grow their business on AWS. The leader is also in charge of building and executing programs and initiatives that support the Partners, as well as working in conjunction with the public sector EMEA and WW Public Sector Partner teams.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Leadership, Partner development , technology sales and demonstrated success in delivering results through Partners. Finally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of the Middle East and Africa business landscape, sales cycles and policy issues.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Customer / Partner Obsession, Think Big : Build the strategic plan for the Middle East and Africa Partners business to drive growth
  • Earn Trust : Establish C-level and field relationships within Partners and with the AWS sales field, guide the development and launch of joint solutions with Partners, educate and enable the AWS sales organization in using Partners solutions, support the development and execution of sales strategy and plans across all public sector segments
  • Ownership, Bias for Action, Deliver Result : Maintain joint AWS/Partner business plans, establishing clear, mutual commitments around marketing, readiness/skills development, and sales and incorporating the rhythm of the relationship clearly. Review this plan in clear periodic Business Reviews with Partner and AWS stakeholders to monitor progress and establish corrective actions as needed. Set and manage revenue targets, lead regular pipeline reviews to ensure pipeline information is thorough and accurate according to AWS’s adoption solution stages
  • Hire and develop the Best : hire and grow a direct and virtual team of field-based Partners resources
